SISU Mouth Guard is the dental protection of today's sports!
According to the National Youth Sports Safety Foundation there are on average 1 million dental injuries related to sporting activities in the US annually.
American Dental Association (ADA) calculates the lifetime cost of an injured tooth to $15-20,000 including all visits and procedures. If that cost is spread over 40 years, the annual cost is about $500/injuried tooth. Consequently, the total annual cost for dental injuries in the USA is $500M, quite an astonishing figure!
A study of 2,000 Swedish hockey players showed that 35% of them had dental injuries, despite wearing mandatory mouth guards. Conventional soft mouth guards are simply not tough enough and in addition they are too uncomfortable and inhibiting the game. How SISU works
SISU is made from a non-compressible, perforated material and doesn't cave in under impact like conventional mouth guards do (30 times less deformation).
With the help of our special Diffusix™ technique, the impact force is distributed over larger areas, which means less risk of dental injury.
Diffusix technology works with unique impact-energy absorbing perforations and special "crumple zones which direct the impact forces away from the teeth (30-50% lower transfer of impact forces). For more details, go to the section scientific testing.
SISU Mouth Guard 1.6
SISU1.6 is only 1.6 mm thick. This makes the mouth guard extremely comfortable and lets you talk, breathe and drink while wearing it as if there was nothing there. SISU 1.6 is 30% stronger than conventional mouth guards.
SISU Mouth Guard 2.4
SISU 2.4 is our new and tougher product. It is slightly thicker, 2.4mm, but our solid scientific testing shows that SISU 2.4 provides close to 50% better protection than conventional mouth guards.

SISU is perforated
There are several reasons to why the perforations are important.
- They help strengthen the material by oscillate under impact, pretty much like how bridges are built.
- The perforations will help with the fitting of the material because it allows for the saliva to flow through the holes. This will give you a very snug fit, ensuring that your can communicate with your teammates – in an understandable way. You will also be able to breathe without problem when you wear a SISU Mouth Guard.
- You will experience less drooling when wearing your SISU, and you can drink with it in.
